I'm back!

I was gone for a couple weeks due to family happenings (college graduations and family reunions). But I'm back and I desire to upload some more art and catch up. :)

Here is my Pig Buffalo creature..

I wasn't sure what I was thinking when I made this. I didn't use any references, just the knowledge I had from my past classes. It was done in the car while on my 2,400 mile road trip across a couple states, so don't ask! XD

This turned out completely different from how it started. I used masking fluid and then painted over it with watercolor, I then finished it in photoshop.

Kinda pretty, kinda dreamy. I'm usually not so girly, but sometimes I need it.

A painting for class my Wildlife  Illustration class.
He can't even see the snowshoe hare behind him. I think it's pretty funny. :3

Looking on in Arrogance

"The old bullfrog was king of the entire empire. He sat upon a toadstool throne commanding his subjects, several toads and a few lizards. One lizard lord approached with a scroll, which he began to read, as the king looked on in arrogance."

A very busy week, as always, I would have done more, but for the time we had, I am pretty pleased.

EDIT: I fixed what my teacher had critiqued. He also said that this could go into my portfolio, I'm so happy! In my 4 years at college, that has never been said to me before! I might clean it up some more, but yay!

These were some sample ideas of kids books pages ranging for ages 0-3.
My teacher really didn't like the third one. (ha!)

Children's Book Art?

The prospects of becoming a Children's book Artist are better than ever!

The more people I speak with, the more opportunities I find for me to expand my horizons with options such as self publishing, or just creating books in general. With the help of my friends that have these wonderful talents of writing and creating stories, I feel that whomever I pair up with, it will be a great venture.

I've always been the artist that sketches a lot, that sketches random things. I don't have a character to draw and I have little to no ideas of my own. I'm proud to say that I have been creating small characters here and there (example above) for myself and to show that I have the capability to do it.
